Welcome

Welcome to my website
My love for art started in my childhood. My childhood was hampered by asthma and many bored years in bed, I created paper dolls to amuse myself. Later when my asthma improved and I was more mobile, I became interested in portrait painting, especially Tudor portraits and Holbein. It became a natural progression to evolve from paper portraits to canvas portraits.
I am currently a professional web designer/graphic designer and in my spare time, I continue to paint portraits and create 3D glass sculptures.
At present I paint oil portraits for leisure, but accept commissions for pastel portraits. If you are interested in commissioning a pastel portrait for a special occasion, please go to the contact page.
My influences are many including William Roberts, Tamara de Lempicka, Holbein, Vaserelly, Melissa Scott Miller, Jonathan Leckie, William de Morgan, Peter Brown (a local Enfield artist) and Anthony Gormley
My portraits are realistic, bordering on cubistic at times. My aim is to capture a facet of ones personality. I have been told that my portraits have a stained glass feel to them, which considering my background would not be unusual.
